This is a suggestion more than a question for all people. Actually, it isn't a question at all. A lot of times, web hosters (even free) requires that you use an FTP application, something like FileZilla. But in the unlikely event that you're using a Mac (like me), I suggest using an application called " TextWrangler." There's lots of good features: You can connect to FTP/SFTP without having to open another application. It has syntax coloring (for those who like that, you can turn it of if you want). You can open up multiple files in the same window. You can choose whether to show/hide gutter, line numbers, tab stops (I personally like this), navigator, and some other stuff. It's free. Very powerful, and can be used to edit Java code, CSS, HTML, Javascript, and all other sorts of cool languages. Works for Mac (sorry Windows users), Leopard or later, Intel processor only.

There's also an application called CyberDuck, and I think that's also a good application (at least, I think it's better than FileZilla) It's free, too.

1. Why is that in the Linux section? Linux has nothing in common with Mac. 2. FileZilla runs on most operating systems (Windows, Linux, Mac). 3. What is your problem with FIleZilla. It offers everything you need. 4. There is also FireFTP, but its a FireFox Add-On.

I must have clicked the wrong link. 2. I know that 3. There's been some problems with FlieZilla, apart from looking kind of old, but it's really hard to explain. 4. So if you use Safari or Chrome you can't use it. FireFox works with Mac and is free.

I actually downloaded TextWrangler and used it for a while and thought was quite good! I have now switched to Dreamweaver but I would definitely recommend TextWrangler as a great free text editor for mac!
Thanks, -Epic

I really recommend textmate. I used to use DreamWeaver, but stopped.

I used TextWrangler before but now I have switched to Komodo (free version) on Mac which is a lot better in my opinion.
